How to identify your skills gaps and role fit
Updated over a year ago

If you're considering a new role, it's important to know which skills or levels you might be missing. That's where Workleap Skills's skills gap info panels come in handy. These panels help you identify any gaps in your skills and provide suggestions on how to improve them.

When browsing roles on Workleap Skills, you'll notice a badge with your “match score” that measures the level of fit between you and the role. This badge takes into account your skills, skills level, experience, and how others before you have navigated their own careers in similar positions. It's a great way to get a quick snapshot of whether a role is a good fit for you or not.

If you want to dive deeper, simply click on the skill match badge. This will take you to a breakdown of any missing skills levels, skills, and bonus skills that could be impacting your match score. The percentage that each missing skill or level affects your match score is also displayed, giving you a clear idea of what you need to work on.

But that's not all! You can also view a more in-depth description of the role by clicking on the "View role details" button at the bottom of the page. This will give you a better understanding of the role's requirements, responsibilities, and expectations, allowing you to make a more informed decision about whether it's the right fit for you.

In summary, Workleap Skills's skills gap info panels provide valuable insights into the skills and levels you may be missing for a particular role. By using these panels, you can take control of your career development and make sure you're on the right path to success.
